Hi, I am Gemma, Mind Mapping Therapist. I started working in NHS mental health services in 2010 and began studying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Since then I have worked in a number of services including Primary Care Mental Health and Community Eating Disorder.
During this time I have delivered one-to-one and group therapy as well as offering supervision to other therapists. I have studied, taught and marked for CBT based university courses and more recently I have trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). During my NHS career I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients presenting with a vast range of difficulties including low mood, low self-esteem, anxiety disorders, eating disorders and disordered eating. I have witnessed the life changing impact that both CBT and EMDR can have on people’s lives and have always felt honoured to be able to offer these effective therapies. I am now in the position to offer private practice alongside my NHS work and look forward to using my skills, knowledge and experience to help many more people.
